Dr. Orvil Martinez-Rivera
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Orvil Martinez has more than 12 years of experience. He studied at Loyola and De Paul University in Chicago and did his internships at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico, Metropolitan Hospital in Arecibo, and New York Medical College. He worked in emergency departments at hospitals in San Juan, Guaynabo, Bayamón y Luquillo, and Hato Rey. In 2013 he became the WAPA America News Medical Correspondent and Medical Director of the Center for Advanced Medicine. In 2015 he was Vice President of New Breeze Home Care LLC, in 2016, Medical Director of Hogar Las Brisas Senior Living, and in 2019 of Advance Wellness Center LLC.

In 2020 he started as Medical Director of TV Sports Guerreros and Advance Medical Research Center.

Advance Medical Research Center conducts clinical research studies of new drugs to treat specific diseases and conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension, HIV, Hepatitis C, among others, as well as vaccination. The purpose of clinical studies is to see if the drugs are the same, have less effect, or are even more effective than those currently available on the market. The studies are sponsored by universities, government health agencies, and/or pharmaceutical companies.
